Fitter, Permanent role, £35,000 to £36,000 per annum, Irvine
We’re hiring a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the production of high-quality, precision-engineered components. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for assembling mechanical parts, bending and threading hydraulic tubing, and conducting pressure testing — all in alignment with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components to meet customer and internal specifications.
- Bend and thread light bore hydraulic tubing following technical drawings.
- Conduct pressure testing in line with company and customer standards.
- Work safely and efficiently within a heavy engineering environment.
- Follow all relevant procedures and quality control checks.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a heavy engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.
- Practical experience with crane and sling operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Desirable: Valid forklift licence.
