Commercial Gas Engineer, Manchester, £48,000, Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm
Join one of the UK’s leading building services companies as a Commercial Gas Supervisor, playing a pivotal role in overseeing gas engineering operations across commercial sites nationwide. You’ll lead and support a team of Gas Safe engineers, ensuring all installations, maintenance, and repairs are completed to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate commercial gas engineers across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations, relevant legislation, and safety standards.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee PPM and reactive gas maintenance works.
- Conduct quality audits, technical inspections, and provide on-site guidance.
- Manage risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and ensure H&S procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with commercial gas systems.
- Recognised ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1).
- Proven experience supervising or leading a team of gas engineers.
- Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- SSSTS/SMSTS and IOSH certificates (preferred).
