A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established team at a static site in either Prestwick or Irvine. This role operates on a rotating early/late shift pattern and offers stable hours, a strong team environment, and the chance to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/FMCG setting. This is a hands-on role ideal for a multi-skilled engineer looking to contribute to a critical operation and develop within an established company.

Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Diagnose and resolve faults to minimise downtime in a fast-paced production environment
• Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager to deliver maintenance schedules and improvements
• Assist in maintaining high standards of health & safety, compliance, and equipment efficiency

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role within an FMCG, automated, or manufacturing environment
• NVQ qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently or within a team in a time-sensitive environment
• Good communication and organisational skills
