Welder/Fabricator – £18.00 per Hour, Temp-to-Perm, Overtime at 1.5x, Immediate Start
Aspirare Recruitment is hiring an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a leading steel installation team. This temp-to-perm welding role offers steady hours, excellent pay, and the chance to work on diverse structural steel projects at multiple client locations.
Welder/Fabricator Pay & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: £18.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1.5x base rate
- Temp-to-perm job with long-term growth prospects
- Regular hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–2:30pm
- Optional weekend shifts available for additional earnings
Key Responsibilities for the Welder/Fabricator Role
- Travel to client sites to fit and install structural steel frameworks
- Perform MIG and TIG welding and general fabrication on mild steel
- Support steel erecting and carry out metal fencing repairs
- Interpret and work from technical engineering drawings
- Follow all site health & safety procedures and represent the company on-site
Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG)
- Background in on-site steel erection and installation preferred
- IPAF licence required – scissor lift experience ideal (training available if necessary)
- CSCS card advantageous but not mandatory
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and within a team
