Key Responsibilities:
- Lift Maintenance and Repair: Carry out scheduled maintenance and repair work on a variety of lifts, including goods, passenger, and service models.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to lift malfunctions, prioritizing efficient diagnostics and aiming for first-time resolutions.
- Issue Resolution: Tackle persistent lift issues with the goal of eliminating recurring defects, supporting zero-defect insurance compliance, and meeting key performance indicators.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Assess and communicate necessary repairs or service actions to improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of lift systems.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule covering locations throughout Scotland.
- Safety Adherence: Consistently apply Health & Safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
- Team Support: Collaborate effectively with Engineers and support Trainee Engineers as required by management.
- Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients through professional, on-site engagement and clear communication.
Skills and Experience:
- Industry Background: Over three years of practical experience working across a diverse range of lift brands and systems.
- Specialist Knowledge: In-depth understanding of lift mechanics, including hands-on expertise with passenger and goods lifts, scissor lifts, high/low-level access platforms, electric traction systems, hydraulic lifts, through-floor models, and chair lifts.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Skilled in applying engineering knowledge to perform maintenance tasks and accurately diagnose faults.
- Team Integration: Strong history of contributing effectively within team settings, with the ability to follow direction and collaborate toward shared outcomes.
