Production Assembler, Glasgow, £14.71

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials, ensuring compliance with WPE’s quality standards.
- Conduct visual and dimensional checks of incoming materials to confirm alignment with technical specifications before assembly.
- Follow established health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe and tidy work area at all times.
- Identify and report any quality issues or part shortages promptly to the mechanical team leader.
- Apply best practices throughout the assembly process to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and workflow efficiency.
Skills & Attributes:
- Clear and confident communicator, both verbal and written.
- High level of manual dexterity and experience using hand tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality-conscious mindset.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Capable of working efficiently to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a mechanical assembly or similar role is advantageous; however, we welcome individuals with a strong interest in developing their skills in precision engineering.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with manual drilling, tapping, and reaming is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with deburring processes is a plus.
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
