Coach Builder, Kilmarnock, Salary up to £41,000 per annum!

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the inspection, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of vehicle bodywork and components. Key Responsibilities:

• Dismantling, refurbishing, and restoring vehicle bodywork and associated components.
• Applying metalworking techniques to remove dents, repair corroded areas and restore body panels.
• Performing detailed bodywork inspections and executing corrosion repairs, including the removal and replacement of rusted flooring and side panels.
• Fitting and installing new flooring, linoleum, ceilings, partitions, and seating arrangements.
• Inspecting, removing, and repairing both interior and exterior panels.
• Refurbishing components through cleaning, brushing, and painting processes.
• Competently operating a range of hand tools, power tools, and air-powered equipment.
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships across the organisation, with clients, and external partners.
• Ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualifications: Time-served with relevant, accredited qualifications in a related trade or discipline.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in metalwork, bodywork repair, or refurbishment—preferably within the rail sector or a comparable heavy industry.
• Attributes: Dependable and self-motivated, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
