As a Finance Assistant, your job is to support the finance team by handling administrative tasks and providing assistance with financial planning and analysis.

To be successful in this role it you will have good communication skills to effectively liaise with other teams and provide updates on the progress of financial projects. have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You should be comfortable with handling confidential information and have good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements. Strong analytical skills to review and interpret financial data and be comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate recording of financial transactions in a timely manner – reconciling accounts, processing invoices and payments, and preparing financial reports.
  • Supporting the finance team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts – working with different departments and ensuring that financial data is accurately entered into the forecasting models.

In terms of education and qualifications, a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is often preferred, but not always necessary. Relevant work experience and training can also be beneficial, particularly in using financial software such as Excel and QuickBooks.
