Maintenance Engineer – Prestwick | £19.50/hr | Temp to Perm | Sustainable Manufacturing Environment

Aspirare are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Prestwick. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with excellent long-term potential, competitive pay, and consistent hours. The Maintenance Engineer will have a strong mechanical background, experience in FMCG or manufacturing, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults
• Support the Engineering Manager in ensuring efficient plant operations
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, FMCG, or automated environment
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdowns
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
