Fitter, Permanent role, £35,000 to £36,000 per annum, Irvine

We’re hiring a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the production of high-quality, precision-engineered components. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for assembling mechanical parts, bending and threading hydraulic tubing, and conducting pressure testing — all in alignment with engineering drawings, customer requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components to meet customer and internal specifications.
• Bend and thread light bore hydraulic tubing following technical drawings.
• Conduct pressure testing in line with company and customer standards.
• Work safely and efficiently within a heavy engineering environment.
• Follow all relevant procedures and quality control checks.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a heavy engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings.
• Practical experience with crane and sling operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Desirable: Valid forklift licence.
