Refrigeration Engineer Manchester, £45,000 Per Annum, Full – Time, Permanent

A well-established leader in the refrigeration and facilities maintenance industry is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join their dedicated supermarket service team. Responsibilities:

• Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on refrigeration systems within supermarket environments.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial refrigeration equipment, including display cabinets, cold rooms, and remote pack systems.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with F-Gas regulations and company safety standards.
• Deliver prompt, professional service to clients across your designated area.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately 1 week in 4), with an additional standby allowance.
• Complete electronic job reports and documentation accurately and on time.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent qualification).
• Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certificate.
• Proven experience working with commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Solid understanding of remote refrigeration packs and control systems such as Danfoss or Carel.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
