Commercial Gas Engineer, Nottingham, up to £46,000,
We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join an excellent FM team. This role involves servicing a variety of commercial properties across the NG postcode area, with a primary focus on maintenance, repair, and compliance across multiple client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial gas systems and related equipment
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and digital reports in a timely manner
- Carry out fabric maintenance and basic electrical tasks as needed under contract requirements
- Ensure all work complies with current legislative standards and health & safety regulations
- Participate in a 1-in-6 on-call rota to provide out-of-hours client support
- Support team members and assist in supervising subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety compliance
- Identify and report remedial work requirements; assist in quoting and gathering information for additional works
- Issue Permits to Work and manage escort duties and small works as necessary
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in commercial gas maintenance, testing, and fault-finding, including work on boiler plants, pumps, ventilation, and control systems
- Competent in basic electrical and general building services tasks
- Strong understanding of health & safety practices and safe systems of work
- Ability to work independently, effectively use handheld technology, and manage time efficiently across multiple sites
