Water Hygiene Engineer, Edinburgh, £34,000 + Benefits, Permanent, Full-Time
Water Hygiene Engineer to join a well-established company offering a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
This role is based in Edinburgh and covers surrounding areas, with occasional UK-wide travel. Overnight stays are rare—typically just one per month.

Water Hygiene Engineer Responsibilities:
- Conduct temperature monitoring, legionella risk control, and general water hygiene tasks across multiple sectors (e.g., hotels, schools, hospitals, facilities management, and non-profits)
- Perform cleaning and disinfection of cold-water storage tanks
- Carry out microbiological water sampling and TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensure accurate reporting and compliance records
Water Hygiene Engineer Requirements:
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer or in a similar legionella control role
- Familiar with cold water tanks, TMV maintenance, and water sampling procedures
- Full UK driving licence required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and travel efficiently
