A leading UK-based facilities management and mechanical services company is expanding its team and hiring an experienced Commercial Heating Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale plant room installations and boiler house projects across the Central Belt of Scotland.

Pipefitters Responsibilities:

  • HVAC System Installation & Maintenance: Install, service, and maintain commercial heating, chilled water, and plumbing systems
  • Pipefitting & Welding: Carry out welding (arc/gas) and pipe installations in stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and galvanised systems
  • Advanced Assembly Methods: Use press-fit, brazing, soldering, and Victaulic techniques to ensure system integrity
  • Project Management: Lead or contribute to full project installs, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Client Interaction: Represent the company professionally on-site and maintain compliance with industry and safety standards

 

Pipefitters Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Heating, or Pipefitting
  • Experience: Previous experience installing commercial plant rooms and boiler house systems
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in pipework fabrication, welding, and multiple connection methods
  • Self-Management: Able to work independently on installations from start to finish
  • Desirable Extras: Experience with gas testing, steam systems, or purging (preferred but not essential)
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required for travel across multiple commercial sites
