Commercial Heating Engineer Role Key Responsibilities:
- HVAC System Installation & Maintenance – Responsible for installing and servicing heating, chilled water, and commercial plumbing systems.
- Expertise in Pipefitting & Welding – Experienced in arc and gas welding on a variety of materials including stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and galvanised pipework.
- Skilled in Connection Methods – Utilise press-fit, Victaulic, brazing, and soldering techniques for secure and efficient system assembly.
- Project Oversight & Team Collaboration – Lead projects independently or work closely with installation teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Professional Client Interaction – Engage directly with clients to ensure clear communication, excellent service, and full compliance with industry standards.
Heating Engineer Skills & Requirements:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Heating, Plumbing, or Pipefitting – Essential qualification for the role
- Demonstrated experience in installing commercial plant rooms and boiler house systems
- Skilled in welding and diverse pipefitting methods, ensuring high-quality, reliable installations
- Strong project management capability, with the ability to oversee and complete jobs independently
- Additional expertise in gas testing, purging, or steam systems considered advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with a client-focused approach on all projects
- Full UK driving licence – Required for travel to multiple job sites
