Workshop Fabricator Supervisor, Paisley, £20 per hour, Contract

 

Workshop Fabricator Supervisor opportunity to join a well-established engineering company based in Paisley This is a hands-on supervisory role within a busy workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day workshop activities, purchasing materials, allocating workloads, reviewing technical drawings, and supporting fabrication tasks as required.

Fabricators Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate workshop activities on a day-to-day basis
  • Allocate work to fabrication staff in accordance with schedules and job priorities
  • Assist in the preparation of job packs and review technical drawings for clarity and accuracy
  • Purchase and manage workshop materials and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Support and assist workshop operatives in fabrication and welding tasks
  • Use computer systems to print and manage work orders
  • Communicate and report directly to the Workshop Manager

 

Fabricators Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served background in plating, welding, or fabrication
  • Recognised trade papers or qualifications
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a fabrication environment
  • Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and workshop practices
  • Confident using computers for workshop administration and documentation
