Key Responsibilities:
- Lift Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance and repair services on a variety of lifts, including passenger, goods, and service lifts
- Emergency Response: Act quickly to resolve lift malfunctions, focusing on accurate diagnostics and first-time fixes
- Troubleshooting: Address recurring lift issues to prevent reoccurrence, ensuring compliance with zero-defect standards and KPIs
- Reporting & Recommendations: Assess lift systems, reporting necessary repairs and suggesting improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
- On-Call Coverage: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to cover locations across Scotland
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in line with strict Health & Safety
regulations
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow Engineers and support Trainee Engineers when required
- Client Engagement: Maintain strong client relationships through professional, clear communication during on-site visits
Skills and Experience:
- Industry Experience: Over three years of hands-on experience working with a wide variety of lift brands and systems
- Specialist Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of lift mechanics, with practical expertise in passenger and goods lifts, scissor lifts, access platforms (both high and low-level), electric traction systems, hydraulic lifts, through-floor lifts, and chair lifts
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing engineering principles to perform maintenance tasks and diagnose faults accurately
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within teams, taking direction and collaborating to achieve collective goals
