Mechanical Engineer, Glasgow, Salary from £42,000 per annum + Benefits!

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within a fast-paced environment in the Glasgow area! The successful candidate will work in a dynamic plant environment, delivering general maintenance and fault-finding on a range of equipment, including moulding machines, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, steam boilers, and compressed air systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance on moulding machines and associated systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, steam boiler, and compressed air equipment.
• Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic work to minimise equipment downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Execute scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with maintenance plans.
• Provide occasional weekend support (2–3 weekends per year) to meet operational demands as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Qualifications: Time-served mechanical engineer with a strong track record of practical, hands-on experience.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting compressed air systems.
• Additional Experience: Familiarity with steam boiler operations is advantageous but not essential.
• Attributes: Capable of working independently or collaboratively, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
