Service Manager

Job Description

Aspirare are currently recruiting a Service Manager to drive forward technical management of staff and plan resources in line with service and delivery in the Manchester area.

Our client is the fastest growing facilities management company in the UK winning a variety of lucrative facilities management contracts with offices throughout the UK.

The Service Manager must be from a facilities management background and have at least 10 years in the building services industry and 5 years of them at a senior level managing staff and resources.

The Service manager will manage and control a variety of skilled engineers and provide support and in-depth Technical knowledge of the Building Services Industry.  As the Service Manager you will own, manage and develop a team of around 15 multi-disciplined engineers on a daily basis.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

Allocate the correct resources to reactive calls

Manage SLA disciplines and ensure all calls are dealt with per contract requirements

Maintain, plan and arrange fixed price work

Provide monthly and sickness reports to the Operational Director.

Involved in the continuous development of systems and procedures.

Full responsibility of staff training, inductions and development

 

Requirements:

Facilities Management background is essential

Building Services Engineering qualifications and experience is a necessity

Must have a hands on managerial approach

In-depth technical knowledge of building service industry

Experience of communicating and reporting to senior management including audits

Must have suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors experience
