Job Description

Commercial Gas Engineer, Glasgow, Up To £35K With On Target Earnings of 50K O/T, Travel Time + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Excellent Pension.

Aspirare Recruitment require a Commercial Gas Engineer for our client who are a market leader in their field of Facilities Management. Our client is a multimillion turnover business with lucrative contracts spanning over many years, and a continually growing order book. With a UK coverage of over 300 multiskilled engineers covering the UK .Our client is set up to deliver to their clients in retail , property development and prestigious building services contracts.

Due to consistent contract wins and growth, our client requires a Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance within prestigious commercial sites in Glasgow and West Scotland.

We are searching for experienced Commercial Gas Engineers who take pride in producing high-quality work and someone who complements their existing team. The candidate is required to have a strong Commercial Gas background and has worked in a similar FM environment with PPM and reactive maintenance/ service experience.

The Role

Maintain a wide variety of commercial buildings by undertaking general maintenance tasks and carrying out repairs.

Participate in all maintenance and improvement work as required.

Ensure safe work practices are followed and maintained, providing a safe working environment for staff, clients and the general public.

Servicing, fault finding, testing of Commercial Gas and Heating systems on Commercial sites is essential.

Successfully deliver scheduled, reactive and remedial maintenance services as set out by the PPM schedule from HQ.


Essential Skills:

  • Recognised Mechanical / Electrical Trade Apprenticeship
  • (Commercial Gas qualifications CIGA1, COCN1, CBHP1, ICPN1, TPCP1A)
  • A full driving licence is essential for this role
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Exposure to plumbing, electrical, or related trades, UP1, and water unvented qualifications would be advantageous.
