Aspirare is currently recruiting a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant for an independent Accountancy practice based in Lanarkshire.

In this role you will work with your team to support the Partners in providing bookkeeping and Accounts Assistant services to clients from a wide range of industries. You will also have the responsibility for ensuring the upkeep smooth roll-out a new CRM system as well the training and informing clients on new HMRC practices.

Responsibilities:

•Bookkeeping services for clients, including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships

•Keeping clients up to date and informed of any changes in HMRC processes – this will involve training clients face to face and over the phone in how to input their VAT information themselves

•Completing VAT returns

•Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments

•Checking company bank statements

•Repairing cash flow statements

•Dealing with financial paperwork and filing

Required Skills/Knowledge:

•Experience in a bookkeeping role

•Knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage or Xero is advantageous 

•Excellent communication skills – written and oral

•IT/Computer Literate

•Client facing/Customer service orientated

•Demonstrable team work ability

•Strong organisational skills

•Flexibility to be able to manage multiple clients

In return you will be provided with an hourly rate between £11 – £13 per hour dependent on experience, full training with be provided and hours can be flexible with additional benefits.
