Manual Grinder Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Operate both manual and CNC grinding machines (Jones & Shipman) for surface and cylindrical grinding
- Material Handling: Load/unload components efficiently to keep production running smoothly
- Precision Work: Adjust settings and parameters to meet exact customer specs and tight tolerances
- Technical Interpretation: Read and understand engineering drawings and documents accurately
- Safety First: Follow all safety procedures and company policies on the shop floor
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of your work, adjustments, and any machine issues
- Maintenance: Perform routine checks and minor maintenance to ensure machines run at their best
- Preparedness: Ensure machines are stocked with tools and materials to avoid delays
- Team Contribution: Support your team during busy times with a hands-on, flexible approach
Manual Grinder Requirements:
- Time-served Grinder or Engineer with hands-on experience in manual and CNC grinding (surface and cylindrical)
- Proficient with Jones and Shipman equipment
- Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Experienced in delivering high-precision work to tight tolerances
- Knowledge of manufacturing and safety standards
- A detail-oriented team player with good communication skills and a strong focus on quality
