Manufacturing Engineer, Motherwell, Competitive Salary

 

Here at Aspirare, we are recruiting for an up and coming job based in Motherwell. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental policy compliance.
  • Develop method planning and technical documentation.
  • Create and verify NC programs for multiple engineering disciplines (turning, milling).
  • Drive component development, ensuring high-quality production.
  • Design inspection gauges and tooling using 3D modelling software.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Conduct SPC analysis and report on part portfolio.
  • Support LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • 4+ years’ experience in offline CNC programming (preferably Edgecam).
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with RCA, SPC, and Right First Time (RFT).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Experience:

 

  • HNC/HND in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling using Solidworks or NX software.
  • Experience with NC program creation using Edgecam or NX Software.
