We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support on construction sites by performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and general maintenance. The Labourer will help ensure the smooth operation of the site and contribute to meeting deadlines and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in loading and unloading construction materials and tools.
- Carry out general labouring duties, including digging, mixing, and clearing materials.
- Help set up and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures.
- Maintain site cleanliness by removing debris and ensuring the work area remains tidy.
- Assist tradespeople and other workers on-site by providing tools and materials as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Handle and operate basic tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any hazards, accidents, or damage to the site supervisor or manager.
- Follow instructions and support senior staff in achieving project goals and deadlines.
- Be proactive in helping and supporting the team in any way required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction or labouring role is preferred but not required.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding and commitment to health and safety practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Valid CSCS card (if required).
