Site Manager, Bristol, Competitive Salary
Aspirare have an upcoming opportunity for a Site Manager based in Bristol. The candidate will have strong Site Manager experience and ability to adapt well to a new team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the building contract type and key stakeholders (client, design team, etc.).
- Know the scope of each subcontractor package and have copies of subcontract orders.
- Coordinate with the PM and PQS on work outside the project scope.
- Issue and close permits for work activities and manage material/equipment orders.
- Oversee utility-related works and liaise with companies for provisions, diversions, and upgrades.
- Apply for permits for road openings, skips, and welfare facilities.
- Handle applications for temporary utility connections for welfare facilities.
- Manage off-site highways works through coordination with relevant parties.
- Raise NCRs for poor-quality work.
- Ensure subcontractors submit and close out inspection and test plans (ITPs).
- Create and manage snagging lists.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety/CDM regulations.
- Serve as Temporary Works Coordinator if needed.
- Ensure labour-only subcontractors have proper risk assessments and method statements.
Requirements
- CSCS/CSR card
- SMSTS qualified
- Previous construction experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment, or new construction projects.
- Proven track record in managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with temporary works procedures.
- Capable of working collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to develop short-term project schedules.
- Strong leadership qualities with a commitment to quality.
- Proficient in using IT tools and software.
