Quantity Surveyor, Glasgow, Competitive Hourly Pay!
Here at Aspirare, we have an up-and-coming job for a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and play a vital role in managing costs and ensuring financial success of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Monitor and track project costs, ensuring they align with the budget.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and provide cost assessments.
- Manage contracts, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate prices and resolve issues.
- Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
- Prepare progress reports and advise on cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct value engineering and identify areas for cost-saving.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction or facilities management sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract management.
- Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.
- Proficient in using Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
