Full Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer, Airdrie, Salary up to £43,600 per annum + Shift Allowance £45,000 per annum + Overtime OTE £48K – 50K + Overtime Opportunities, Generous Holiday Package & More!

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 15:00

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Week 3: Sunday, 08:00 - 17:00; Monday to Thursday, 16:00 - 01:00

 

Mechanical Engineer required to join a prestigious manufacturing company, based in the Airdrie area. The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in keeping the department running smoothly, while also carrying out both proactive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment, helping minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, keeping operations uninterrupted.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, ensuring longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical faults.
  • Undertake minor building and equipment repairs, ensuring facilities remain in high quality conditions and are operational.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical faults.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as outlined and occasional overtime when needed.
