You Never Get a Second Chance to Make a First ImpressionThink about what questions you may wish to ask the employer and have them prepared in advance. Some relevant questions may include: Why is this position available? How will my performance be evaluated? Will there be opportunities for further training? Will there be opportunities for promotion? Questions you may be askedWhile it is impossible to predict exactly what you will be asked at the interview, you can anticipate some of the questions that may come up and consider how you will answer them. Below are some questions that may be asked at an interview. Take some time to consider them and have an answer prepared in advance: Tell me about yourself? (Professionally)What knowledge do you have of the company? Review your career, education and other strengths? Why are you interested in this position? What have been your most significant career achievements? What are your career goals? How do you organise your workload? Are you creative? Why should we hire you? What are your salary expectations? How do you perform under pressure? What you should doArrive early: being late for an interview does not create a desirable first impression. Clarify questions; if you are unsure what the employer is asking then ask them to elaborate. Get the interviewer to describe the position early on; this will provide an opportunity describe your relevant skills and experience. Use positive body language; smile, make eye contact and never slouch. Anticipate questions: Preparing answers in advance will avoid long silences and give you an opportunity to provide an impressive answer. Ask questions: this will communicate your interest in the role. Listen. Focus on your employer's style and pace and answer your questions accordingly.
