Aspirare are currently recruiting for a pre sales specification consultant to work alongside our clients Regional Sales Manager, serving to the construction industry.

Applicants must have experience in the construction industry and selling to architects and specifiers.

OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To help the sales team secure major External Wall Insulation, projects through the provision of sound technical specifications and advice. To create competitive advantage by speeding up and enhancing the quality of specification services. To enhance the technical reputation of the company and improve its standing and profile amongst architects and other specifiers in the region.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITITES

1. To produce specifications, technical drawings and calculations for projects in the region using tools such as AutoCAD, JPA, NBS and Corel draw.

2. To help the ASM's in the region secure major projects by providing a fast, effective technical response.

3. To participate in design team meetings for major projects with clients and specifiers and to develop suitable technical solutions.

4. To assist ASM's at technical meetings with specifiers, to discuss specifications and contribute to the development of technical solutions for new projects.

5. To provide a fast response to price enquiries, providing a written quote reflecting the required components as set out in the specification, using Quoter where appropriate

. To participate in regional commercial team meetings and provide appropriate monthly reports and/or in any assigned project team work.

7. To participate in company technical team meetings.

8. To help the EWI Co-ordinator clarify any order issues relating to the specification.

9. To carry out and/or assist in the presentation of CPD seminars and other sales/technical presentations.

10. In conjunction with the ASM, monitor the progress of projects and resolve any design issues and/or problems arising during the course of the build programme.

11. To contribute to the resolution of complaints, record and report new complaints and strive for a continuous improvement in quality overall.

12. To contribute to the ongoing development and have a sound knowledge of company guarantees and general commercial procedures.

13. To work with the rest of the Technical team to develop new technical details, standards, specifications etc.

14. To contribute to the generation of new and innovative product and service ideas.

15. To work in a safe and responsible manner ensuring that no accidents occur to the post holder or his/her colleagues as a consequence of his/her actions.

16. To undertake any other duties as agreed with the RSM consistent with the scope of the job.
